Paul has spent many years accumulating a
plethora of top qualifications in the arena of health, fitness and professional
coaching.
Paul holds a BSc honours degree in Sport & Exercise Science from the University Of Ulster, Jordanstown Campus (Paul has since been asked to give a lecture in his old University). Seeking to go further Paul set about attaining the American CSCS classification. Becoming a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) under the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) is internationally recognised as the pinnacle of professional coaching and personal training. The CSCS classification is also considered the gold standard certification required for working with Olympic and professional athletes (Paul has already had great results with many top sports persons). But this prestigious qualification is not restricted in its application, its also equally appropriate for use when training, children, elderly and normal populations (Paul has already helped many normal people achieve extraordinary results). In fact a large group of professionals seek out the CSCS distinction. This diverse group includes strength coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, personal trainers, physicians, chiropractors, researchers and educators. The CSCS is the only strength training and conditioning certification to be nationally accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and has been nationally accredited since 1993 (in the U.S.A). It is a prerequisite that you hold at least a bachelor's degree (BS/BA) before applying to sit the CSCS examinations. Those which hold the CSCS distinction can often be found as columnists and guest article authors in numerous mainstream A list health and fitness magazines and websites. Paul was able to pass his CSCS exams with an average score of 88% (these exams were graded to a university third level academic standard, an environment which considers a score of 70% to be outstanding)!! |
